MUNICIPAL HALL REAFFIRMS TANAUAN REPUTATION
AS BUSINESS-FRIENDLY
MUNICIPALITY |
 |
Tanauan,
Leyte -- Today is a red-lettered day
for the people of Tanauan as their new municipal
hall will be blessed and inaugurated today, five
days before the town Fiesta in honor of Our Lady
of Assumption, the town Patroness.
Mayor Roque Tiu
said that today's inauguration is the fulfillment
of the long-time dream to have a new municipal
hall because the old one is already too old and
dilapidated. |
The P16 Million Municipal Hall
has already modern facilities, with computerized
system for business licensing and real property
taxation. The taxpayers and clients' spacious
lounge is complete with built in projector and
television monitor to entertain the clients
while waiting for their transactions. The whole
building is Wifi hotspot where the taxpayers
can just bring their laptops and could already
have free internet access.
All these are tangible manifestations
that the local government is indeed business-friendly
as for the fourth year, the town has been nominated
as a Most Business Friendly Municipality. The
town has twice been adjudged as the most business
friendly municipality of the Visayas and it
was acclaimed at the Most Business Friendly
Municipality in 2006.
